I’ve seen people who couldn’t be bothered to wait in line leave their cat on the sidewalk in winter. I’ve also seen people facing unthinkable challenges, devastated and trying to do their best for an animal they loved.

Julia’s lifelong love of animals led her to a career in the pet care industry. In 2019, she joined Pumpkin, one of the fastest-growing pet insurance companies in the US, where she is Chief Experience Officer.
In 2023, an active member of the shelter and foster community, she started The Kitten Camp – a nonprofit organization (pending 501(c)(3) status) with a local-global approach to animal rescue. Their mission is to help save the lives of vulnerable pets through foster, adoption, surrender-prevention, and educational programs aimed at supporting the well-being of both pets and the people who love them.
She is the proud pet mom to 2 small dogs, 3 cats, a recent special-needs foster fail, and over 200+ foster kittens (and counting).
